ABOUT US


Lake Merritt Joggers and Striders is the East Bay's longest-standing running club. We organize many fun runs and training programs in Oakland and the wider Bay Area.

The LMJS marathon and half marathon training programs are low-cost 18-week plans that prepare runners for races in spring 2023.

Since 2010 we've trained more than 1,000 runners of all levels — from first-timers to experienced runners — and helped them meet their personal goals. Many return year after year for the quality coaching and great company. We hope you join us!

FIND YOUR PACE


Runners of a wide range of paces and experience levels are welcome. We have pace groups, from 7:30 to 13:00+ —  really!

RUN THE EAST BAY

With group runs all over the East Bay (and one across the Bay Bridge), you'll get to know the area from a new perspective.

BE MOVED
